About Laser Therapy
Laser therapy, or photobiomodulation, is the process of photons entering the tissue and interacting with the cytochrome c complex within the cell mitochondria. The result of this interaction, and the point of conducting laser therapy treatments, is the biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism (promoting tissue healing) and a decrease in pain. Laser therapy is used to treat acute and chronic conditions as well as post-activity recovery. It is also used as another option to prescription drugs, a tool to prolong the need for some surgeries, as well as pre and post-surgery treatment to help control pain. LightForce® Therapy Lasers can be found on the sidelines of many pro, college, and Olympic sports teams across the United States and many parts of Europe and Asia. Laser therapy has been shown to be effective at improving post-activity recovery times and reducing delayed onset muscle soreness.

Self-Pay Laser Therapy Services
- In addition to offering Laser Therapy treatment to current patients who meet medical necessity, we also offer self-pay Laser Therapy services in both clinics based on therapist availability. This self-pay service is available only to those who are not currently being treated at our facilities. To learn more or to schedule a Laser Therapy appointment, give us a call at 781-487-9944.
- Cost: $75 for an initial intake and $50 for all follow-up appointments. We accept cash or check only for these appointments.
- Duration: Self-pay Laser Therapy appointments are about 5-12 minutes based on the body part and level of injury.
- Providers: All of our clinical staff are trained in Laser Therapy.
