Massage Therapy
Pro Sports Therapy is pleased to announce JON DEVLIN and JANET MCGUIRE on staff now. They are both licensed and certified Massage Therapists specializing in the following services:
| Deep Tissue Massage | 60 minutes $90.00 / 90 minutes $120.00 |
| Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on both the superficial and deep layers of muscles, fascia and other structures located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury, and have chronic muscle tension. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two. Deep tissue results vary greatly. | |
| Sports Massage | 60 minutes $90.00 / 90 minutes $120.00 |
| Sports massage can be used to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during (intro) and after training (post event). Athletes have discovered that Sports massage session promotes flexibility, removes muscle fatigue, improves endurance, prevents injuries and improve overall performance. | |
| Craniosacral Massage | 60 minutes $90.00 / 90 minutes $120.00 |
| A craniosacral therapy session involves the therapist placing their hands on the patient, this allows them to "tune into the craniosacral rhythm". The therapist gently works with the spine and the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia. Misaligned bones are restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and more | |
| Swedish Massage | 60 minutes $90.00 / 90 minutes $120.00 |
| Swedish massage is great for helping reduce joint stiffness while increasing the oxygen level in the blood, decreasing toxins in the muscles, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension and stress. | |
| Focus Work | 30 minutes $50.00 |
| Focus work is usually for rehab or injury prevention and/or pre/post event sports massage. Focus work is usually concentrated on working the muscle groups that assist in recovery, prevention, and stimulation to the muscles needed. For example: if you had a rotator cuff injury or if you were running a marathon and needed to loosen tight leg muscles before your run. Combinations of Deep tissue, Sports, Neuromuscular, Trigger point therapy, or CranioSacral can be used for Focus Work. | |
